Born in Tokyo and now based in Minneapolis, Ryo Hamasaki brings a perspective shaped by a sharp eye for unposed, authentic storytelling. After a successful career in the corporate world, Ryo decided to pivot his focus toward his lifelong passion for visual media.

Since launching Ryo Hamasaki Photography, he has treated every day as a learning experience, quickly expanding his portfolio from event photography into a diverse range of aerial, commercial, and editorial work. As a professional photographer and FAA-certified drone pilot, Ryo specializes in an "observational" style—finding the genuine narrative in any environment. He has developed a practical, hybrid workflow for creating short-form video that integrates seamlessly into a photography session.

Ryo is dedicated to showing fellow creatives how to use simple tools to capture the energy of a session, transforming candid, behind-the-scenes moments into meaningful pieces that both clients and audiences value.
