ABOUT ANIMAL IMAGE MAKERS

Animal Image Makers™ began in 2018 as a vision from founder Lisa Asp, who saw incredible potential in the growing world of pet and animal photography—but also recognized that without proper education, artistry suffered and animal safety was too often overlooked. Determined to change that, Lisa gathered a circle of supporters and created the first-ever conference devoted entirely to photographers who work with animals. Her goal was simple: elevate the craft, honor the animals we photograph, and build a community where artists could learn, grow, and truly belong.

The AIM team is composed of passionate, animal-loving creatives who believe deeply in expanding what’s possible in this field. Their innovative, inclusive spirit has shaped AIM into an experience unlike any other—part conference, part community, and part creative recharge. More than education, AIM offers a place to be supported, inspired, and connected with others who share the same love for animals and storytelling. For many attendees, AIM becomes the artistic home they’ve been searching for.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I am registered but can no longer attend. What do I do?: Though we can't offer refunds, we are happy to transfer registrations from one person to another. When you have someone to transfer your ticket to, please contact us at hello@animalimagemakers.com - we'll set it up on the back-end and give you further information. Please note the $50 transfer fee to cover the costs of this service.

If you opted in for Purchase Protection when you registered, you should reach out to the company handling that to file a claim.
I can't remember what I signed up for. Can you help?: Of course! Simply email Lisa (hello@animalimagemakers.com) and she'll get your registration information resent.
What if I need to make changes to my registration details?: If you moved or need to update a t-shirt size or meal selection, for example, send an email to hello@animalimagemakers.com and Lisa will get your information up to date. We definitely want to be sure we have current contact information for you.

If I join the credentialing program, will I get points from previous competitions?: Points begin accumulating at the time you join the program. The program has a one-time fee, so we recommend joining ASAP to start earning points right away. Points can be earned through competition, attending AIM, speaking at the conference, and being an official conference volunteer. Points are not retro-active.
How do I find out how many points I have toward credentialing?: We keep a database of points and update the point totals after every competition and conference. When you log into the program site, your membership number will be followed by a hyphen, then your current point total.
